We rented a car through AARP with budget. According to the website and the rep - that we would be renting the car at a discounted rate and that we didn't need to get the rental insurance because AARP covers the first $5000.00 of damages. I verified that with the rep...

AARP - Silver sneakers with UnitedHealth care

At the WMCA my wife and I attend has decided to stop the silver sneakers program. They said it was not united health cares fault or the y fault it was the people in the middle decision. I called insurance company and they clearly said it was the Y. I spoke with a staff member and I suggested that they just take the silver sneakers money and let us make up the difference. He suggested that I call someone higher up the ladder. It seems to me that 65 old and older are being forced out. That looks like age discrimination to me. I hope aarp can help.

I just received a letter (Oct 3, 2018) stating that AARP is cancelling their silver sneakers program in NC. As a retired person on a fixed income, I find that this is a good reason to change plans. This program was one of the primary reasons that I chose AARP. It is...

When I retired, I found I could keep the medical insurance that I had at work if I joined AARP. Since there were other benefits by joining, I signed up. I have enjoyed some discounts by being a member. The issue I have with AARP is their liberal bent on issues in the...
