I know people with AARP, I have it also, nobody in all the states I have friends in (appox. 17) has ever met anyone or heard of anyone winning these sweepstakes. I also have tried for lower insurance rates, not the case offers I received were actually higher than what I have now, so what actually is discounted other than restaurants that nobody wants to go to, or items you don't need or want anyway, then you get bombarded with emails asking for contributions and reminders to renew 6 months in advance, I don't think this is helping seniors at all, it is only a waste of time and money.
