As executor of an estate I called and cancelled the membership of the deceased. He had paid through 2020 and this being 2017, I would have thought that they would refund the membership fees automatically.

Well that is not the case. So if a member has prepaid their fees and then pass away, AARP will keep those funds unless a refund is requested when the membership is cancelled.

They are advocates for their pocket books and not seniors. Since all their members are elderly, can you imagine the amount of money they retain for themselves instead of returning to the estates?

Reason of review: Return, Exchange or Cancellation Policy.
